Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The Valkyrie softball team lost 4-1 and 11-3 on the road to Tusculum University on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Game 1 Final: Tusculum 4-1 Converse

Game 1 Notes:

• Top 6 – Going into the inning down 2-0, the Valkyries would make up ground with one run. Brooke Scruggs would get things started by hitting a single up the middle. Dallas Singleton would come in to pinch run for Scruggs and advance to second while Brooklyn McElrath made it to first on a fielder's choice. Ryan Finazzo would fly out, but it allowed for Singleton to reach third. Grace McKinney would send Singleton home on her sacrifice fly out.
• Bottom 6 – Tusculum put two more runs on the board to take the game, winning 4-1.
• Reagan Owens (0-6) was given the loss for Converse after pitching 5.1 innings and throwing four strikeouts. Serrah Ballard also pitched 0.2 innings.

Game 2 Notes:

• Top 4 – The Valkyries would be down 9-0 going into the inning but would put up three runs in efforts to pull close to the lead. McElrath would start the inning off by singling to shortstop followed by Finazzo who would also single to short, advancing McElrath to second. McKinney would be thrown out next, but it allowed to McElrath and Finazzo to advance to third and second. Emily Ingle would send McElrath and Finazzo home after singling up the middle and was able to advance to second on the throw. Scruggs grounded out to short, allowing Ingle to advance to third. Faith Hauser singled to second base, sending Ingle home to make it a 9-3 game.
• Bottom 4 – The Pioneers put up an additional two runs in the inning, picking up their 11^th win of the season with a final score of 11-3 in the fifth inning.
• Ballard (0-9) would get the loss for Converse after pitching 0.2 innings. Owens pitched 1.1 innings, Maggie Griffis pitched one inning and Belle Roper pitched one inning.
