This will be the 7
th and 8
th time that Converse and Tusculum have faced each other. The Pioneers hold a 6-0 record over the Valkyries with their last wins coming in the 2020 season by scores of 9-0 and 14-5.
Converse Notes:
- Converse is 0-20 this season after most recently picking up two losses at the Newberry Round Robin Tournament. The Valkyries lost 8-0 to Millersville and 20-0 to Newberry on Saturday afternoon.
- Brooklyn McElrath leads Converse with 52 at-bats, four runs, 11 hits, two doubles and thee RBI's. Ryan Finazzo leads the team with six RBI's and 42 at-bats, 10 hits and four doubles.
- Serrah Ballard leads the Valkyries in the circle with 44.2 innings pitched with 15 strikeouts. Reagan Owens follows with 32 innings pitched and a team-high 26 strikeouts.
Tusculum Notes:
- The Pioneers are 9-6 this season after most recently loosing 8-6 to Emmanuel College on Tuesday afternoon. In the loss, Mya Maddox led the team with four at-bats, two runs, two hits and two RBI's. Alyssa Suits followed with four at-bats, one hit and two RBI's. Emily Sappington (5-3) picked up the loss as the Tusculum pitcher after pitching 4.2 innings with five strikeouts.
- Anna Alloway leads the team with 53 at-bats, seven runs, 24 hits, five doubles, one triple, three home runs and 15 RBI's. Kiley Longmire follows with 40 at-bats, six runs, 17 hits, three doubles, three home runs, and 13 RBI's.
- On the mound, Sappington leads with 52.1 innings pitched, producing 55 strikeouts. Ireland Cavanaugh follows with 28 innings pitched and 21 strikeouts.
