SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Converse University softball team will return home from the Coker Round Robin Tournament to host West Virginia Tech on Monday afternoon.

The Series:
This will be the first time that the Valkyries and Golden Bears have gone up against each other.
 
Converse Notes:

• The Valkyries are 0-14 on the season after most recently dropping four games at the Coker Round Robin Tournament. Flagler won by scores of 14-1 and 15-1 and Coker won by scores of 9-2 and 10-1.
• Brooklyn McElrath leads Converse with 42 at-bats, three runs, nine hits, two doubles and three RBI's. Ryan Finazzo leads in RBI's with six on the year with 36 at-bats, four runs, nine hits and four doubles. Maggie Griffis follows Finazzo in the RBI category with four.
• Serrah Ballard leads the Valkyries in the mound with 29.2 innings pitched with 13 strikeouts produced. Reagan Owens leads in strikeouts with 22 while pitching 26.1 innings.

West Virginia Tech Notes:

• The Golden Bears are 4-0 overall, most recently earning wins against Bluefield College by scores of 3-2 and 5-1.
• Nicole Kester leads WV Tech with 13 at-bats, six runs, six hits, one double, one homerun and six RBI's. Mackenzie Siersma and Kelsey Huffman also have home runs on the year.
• Courtney Miles leads in the circle with 12 innings pitched and 16 strikeouts. Emma Crisswell follows her with nine innings pitched and nine strikeouts.
