Box Score Spartanburg, S.C. - The Converse College Softball team collected nine hits on the afternoon but stumbled against Mars Hill on Thursday afternoon.

Records: Converse (3-15, 0-0 CC), Mars Hill (8-9, 1-5 SAC)

How it Happened

Game One:

• Grace McKinney, sophomore infielder, recorded two of the three hits for the Valkyries. 
• Mars Hill pitchers struck out 12 Converse batters.
• Three Converse pitchers faced the Lions. 
• Daija Irizarry, junior, was credited for the loss after pitching two innings and giving up three earned runs.
• Savannah Rodgers, junior, pitched 3.1 innings, striking out two batters and seeing four earned runs cross the plate.
• Jordan Moore pitched 0.2 innings.

Game Two:

• Dallas Singleton, junior catcher/outfielder, collected two hits, including one double.
• Allison Plafcan, senior infielder, was credited with two hits.
• Abbigale Outlaw, sophomore outfielder, and Ryan Finazzo, sophomore catcher, had one hit each. Finazzo earned the team's one RBI with a single to left field, scoring Outlaw. 
• Reagan Owens, sophomore, pitched a complete game, facing 30 batters, giving up three earned runs and striking out three Mars Hill batters.
