DUE WEST, S.C. - Kicking off its 2020 campaign with a tally in the win column, the No. 8 Converse College acrobatics and tumbling team dominated Erskine College in every event on Saturday afternoon en route to a 273.865-123.275 win.

Converse opened the scoring with a comfortable margin of victory in the compulsory, totaling a 38.05 to the Fleet's 22.0. The Valkyries continued to extend the lead following a masterful performance in the acro event with the Purple and Gold posting a 28.3 compared to 23.85 by Erskine.
The toss event was more evenly matched, but Converse still outscored the Flying Fleet by the total of 26.4-20.7. Converse put together solid individual efforts in the tumbling portion of the meet, running its lead to 176.025-123.275. Erskine was not able to perform a team routine, while Converse capped the evening off with a team score of 97.84.
