SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Converse Acrobatics & Tumbling team lost to Belmont Abbey 232.365 – 227.040 on Monday evening inside the Weisiger Center.
With the loss the Valkyries conclude the 2026 acrobatics and tumbling season with an overall record of 2-6 and 3-5 in Conference Carolinas action. Meanwhile, Belmont Abbey finished the season with a 2-5 record both overall and in Conference Carolinas play.
In the Compulsory event, the Valkyries won the toss heat with a score of 9.30. In total the Valkyries tallied 32.30 in the four heat event. Meanwhile, Belmont Abbey finished the event with a total score of 33.15.
In the Acro event, the Valkyries won the six element heat with a score of 7.95. In total the Valkyries finished with 24.20 points in the three heat event. Belmont Abbey tallied a total score of 25.55 in the event.
The Valkyries won the Pyramid event with a total score of 26.90, after they won the Synchronized heat with a score of 9.20 and the Open heat with a score of 9.30. Belmont Abbey finished with a total score of 21.80 in the three heat event.
The Valkyries narrowly lost the toss event with a score of 25.65 to 25.75. The Valkyries won the open heat with a score of 8.90. In the Tumbling event Belmont Abbey won with a score of 47.625 to 41.650.
In the final event of the night, Belmont Abbey won the team event with a score of 78.49 to 76.34. Converse finished the meet with 35.55 points in deductions and Belmont Abbey finished with 42.18 points in deductions.
