SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Competing in front of the home crowd for the first time this season, the No. 8 Converse College Acrobatics and Tumbling team remained perfect with a wire-to-wire win over visiting Presbyterian College on Saturday evening. The Valkyries captured every event and 15-of-19 heats on their way to a 264.430-255.720 win.

Converse earned a bit of separation following the opening compulsory event, outscoring Presbyterian by 2.65 points (36.75-34.10). That lead continued to grow with wins in the acro (27.70-27.05) and pyramid (28.50-28.35) events. Although the Blue Hose took two out of three heats in the pyramid, the Valkyries secured the event with a brilliant 9.9 scoring in heat three.
Coming out of halftime, Converse padded its advantage, taking the toss portion by a score of 26.15-25.40 and tumbling event, 52.70-50.25. The team event also went to the Valkyries, who posted a 92.63, compared to Presbyterian's 90.57.
