SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Snigdha Musugunthan defeated Sophia Palaez in straight sets (6-4, 6-1) in the No. 2 singles match to help the Converse College (1-0) tennis team open the 2019-20 season with a dominating win over Mars Hill University (0-1) on Tuesday afternoon.
The Valkyries took all three doubles matches to earn the first point of the day, before all but one singles flights took care of business for the convincing 6-1 win.
