WILSON, N.C. – The Converse tennis team had a fast start, taking two out of three doubles matches, but could not pull out the win, falling to Barton College, 6-3, on Saturday afternoon at the BC Tennis Complex.

Steffi Kong and Kaitlin Knight captured a doubles win in the No. 1 slot while Alex Schlesener and Taylor Parrott edged their opponents at the No. 2 doubles. Morgan Hildebrandt tallied the lone singles victory for the Valkyries, downing Claudia Capellades in the No. 5 singles flight.
