Valkyries Pick Up Three Victories In Loss To Benedict

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Converse Tennis team fell short against Benedict in non-conference action on Sunday afternoon falling 6-3 at home.

INSIDE THE LINES

Kaitlin Knight and Morgan Trask picked up wins for the Valkyries in singles action. Knight finished off her opponent 6-3, 6-2. Trask won her match 6-2, 6-1.

Knight improves to 2-1 in singles play this season.

Steffi Kong put up a strong fight at the number one singles falling in the first set 7-5. Kong bounced back in the second set to lead 4-1 before her opponent retired the match.
