ValkyriesTennis Downed By Trojans At Home

SPARTANBURG, S.C.- The Converse tennis team came up short against the visiting Anderson Trojans to start off their 2016-17 campaign falling 9-0 in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon.

Converse battled tough at the No. 2 doubles with Taylor Parrott and Steffi Kong as the Valkyries dropped the set 8-5. No. 1 and No. 3 doubles fell 8-1, 8-1.

Once again Taylor Parrott battled in singles dropping the first set 6-2 but rallied back before falling short 6-4 in the second. Parrott trailed 5-1 before making her run at the No. 3 singles.

The Valkyries travel to Sumter, S.C. over the weekend September 16-18 for the Conference Carolinas Fall Tournament.
