Valkyries Golf Finishes Fifth At Anderson Inviational

ANDERSON, S.C.- The Valkyries golf team stayed consistent in the opening tournament of the year with a second round 333 and finishing fifth. Queen's took home the team title finishing the tournament with a score of 619.

Marley Felthousen fired off another round of 79 and moved up to a tie for sixth missing out on the all-tournament squad. Felthousen finished the tournament with 21 pars.

Vienna Winalski improved her score by four strokes from the first round with a final round score of 82. Winalski added two birdies on the season.

Ansley Vaughan finished tied for 22nd with a final round of 86. Vaughan sunk two birdies in the tournament.

Miranda Juarez and Marisa Daquil Kawabe rounded out the scoring with final round 87s. Juarez led the Valkyries with three birdies.

Converse returns to the links on September 19-20 as the Valkyries host the Converse Fall Tournament at Carolina Country Club.
