MOUNT OLIVE, N.C.- The Converse Tennis team dropped a Conference Carolinas match to Mount Olive on Friday afternoon, 7-2. Converse falls to 4-8 on the season and 0-4 in league play. Mount Olive improves to 4-5 and 3-1 on the season.
Taylor Littlejohn-Barr (York, S.C.) picked up the singles win in the fourth slot winning the first set 7-5. Littlejohn-Barr dropped the second set but picked up the win in the tiebreaker, 10-7 for the win.
Littlejohn-Barr and Klaire Rouse (Gilbert, Ariz.) won at the third doubles 8-2 for the lone win in doubles action.
Margaret Pridmore (Wodonga, Austraila) fought at the third singles but fell 6-3, 7-5.
The Valkyries finish the road trip with Conference Carolinas foe Barton on Saturday, March 19 with first serve at 9am to try and beat the inclement weather.
