SPARTANBURG, S.C.- The Converse tennis team fell to Conference Carolinas foe North Greenville on Tuesday afternoon in a three hour match dropping the match 8-1. Converse drops to 4-7 on the season and 0-3 in league play.
Klaire Rouse (Gilbert, Ariz.) continues to play well during her senior campaign picking up her 10th win of the season. Today's victory marks the most singles victories in program history as well as the second most singles wins in her career, now with 22 wins.
Rouse picked up the lone win for the Valkyries at the sixth slot winning 6-0, 6-3.
Rouse and Taylor Littlejohn-Barr (York, S.C.) put up a fight in the third doubles falling 8-7 (7-4). Kaitlin Knight (Sumter, S.C.) and Margaret Pridmore (Wodonga, Austraila) battled at the ones position dropping the macth 8-4.
Converse returns to the courts on Friday and Saturday, March 18-19, as the Valkyries take on Mount Olive (Friday) and Barton (Saturday) in Conference Carolinas action.
