The Crusaders struck first two minutes into the match but the Valkyries responded with 12 unanswered goals to take a commanding 12-1 lead.  Converse was led offensively by Aubrie Lauderdale (Greenville, S.C.) netting her third hat-trick of the season.  Elizabeth Gabriele (Simpsonville, S.C.) and Sydnie Hickey (Baltimore, Md.) scored twice.  Laura Starkes (Whitby, Ontario) and Jessi Walters (Fort Mill, S.C.) handed out two assists apiece.

Converse started their attack at the 3:21 mark of the match when Jessi Walters scored her second goal of the season off the pass from Laura Starkes.  Walters returned the favor but this time to Sydnie Hickey giving the Valkyries a 2-1 advantage and never looked back.

Madison Butler (Tampa, Fla.) pushed the lead to 3-1 off the dish from Aubrie Lauderdale.  Lauderdale, Laura Starkes and Sydnie Hickey gave the Valkyries a 7-1 advantage heading into the break.  All four goals were unassisted, Lauderdale scored on a free position shot.

The second half started off with a bang as Elizabeth Gabriele scores just over a minute into the second stanza.  Chelsea Worrell (Orlando, Fla.) scores off the assist from Laura Starkes followed by a goal by Brittni Jones (Lees Summit, Mo.) gave the Valkyries a 10-1 advantage.

Elizabeth Gabriele's second goal of the match gave the Valkyries a running clock midway through the second half.  Aubrie Lauderdale scored the final goal for the Valkyries netting a hat-trick.

NGU scored four goals over the final ten minutes ending the Valkyries run before ultimately falling 12-5.

Senior netminder Alex Gurecki (Farmingdale, N.Y.) posted the win in the cage playing 40 minutes allowing one goal off nine shots and five saves.  Sandra Ponce (Germantown, Md.) relieved Gurecki the final 20 minutes.
