MOUNT OLIVE, N.C.- The depth and talent shined through for Mount Olive as the 13th ranked team in the nation handed the Valkyries its first shutout loss in program history falling 18-0 in Conference Carolinas lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon.  Converse falls to 5-5 on the season and 2-3 in league play.

Chelsea Worrell (Orlando, Fla.) had the only two shots for the Valkyries.  Alex Gurecki (Farmingdale, N.Y.) had a tough task of facing one of the most potent offenses in the nation seeing the Trojans pepper the cage.  Gurecki faced 27 shots picking up 10 saves.

Converse held Mount Olive to five goals in the first 25 minutes of the contest.  The final 35 minutes of the contest saw the Trojans score 13 goals and making the second stanza a running clock.  UMO took a 10-0 advantage into the break.

The Valkyries host #12 Limestone Wednesday, March 25.  First draw is slated for 7pm.
