SPARTANBURG, S.C.- Playing their second match in as many days, the Valkyries couldn't gain any momentum falling to Mount Olive 9-0 in Conference Carolinas tennis action on Saturday afternoon.
Converse started at a disadvantage in doubles action. Alex Schlesener (Stone Mountain, Ga.) and Samantha Sheffield (Birmingham, Ala.) fell behind 7-1 and battled back to make it 7-4 before falling 8-4 at the No. 2 doubles slot.
Kaitlin Knight (Sumter, S.C.) battled at the No. 2 singles falling 6-4, 6-2. Klaire Rouse (Gilbert, Ariz.) fell at the No. 6 singles 6-3, 6-3.
Converse heads to Pfeiffer to take on the Falcons in Conference Carolinas action, Sunday, March 22 at 1 pm.
