SPARTANBURG,SC- The Valkyries suffered an 8-1 loss to the visiting North Greenville Crusaders Wednesday afternoon at the Converse Tennis Complex.
The Crusaders swept the purple and gold in doubles competition to jump out to an early 0-3 lead. Olivia Self improves to 4-5 in conference play after picking up Converse's lone win of the day and her 11th overall. The Valkyries dropped a pair of tough extra-set matches at #3 and #4, while falling in straight sets to end the match.
The tennis team travels to Lees-McRae Friday, April 12th for their final conference match of the season. Converse returns home Sunday afternoon in regional action against the Trojans of Anderson University.
