SPARTANBURG, SC- The Converse tennis team fell 9-0 to the Trojans of Mount Olive College at home on Friday, Feb. 17. Sophomores Taylor Bland (Irmo, SC) and Marissa Esformes (Miami, FL) nearly pulled off wins at number three and four singles, respectively, but both lost their third set.  Bland fell 10-8 in her third set, while Esformes dropped her last set 11-9.

The Valkyries drop to 1-3 on the season, while Mount Olive moves to 4-1 overall.  Converse will host UVA Wise on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 11am.
