ROCK HILL, S.C.  – The South Atlantic Conference announced their weekly awards on Monday afternoon, Converse University Field Hockey athletes Autumn Kern (Lusby, Md.) and Edith Swaan (Leidschendam, Netherlands) swept the awards this week.
 
Kern a sophomore midfielder/defender helped anchor the Valkyries backline as they posted back-to-back shutouts this week. The Maryland native played a total of 112 minutes last week for the Valkyries.
 
Swaan led the Valkyries offense this past week with a hat-trick against Coker last Wednesday. The junior followed it up with an assist against Wingate on Saturday afternoon.
