GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Conference Carolinas office announced the annual preseason coaches poll on Tuesday afternoon, Converse University the defending Conference Carolinas Tournament Champions were slated third in this year's preseason poll.
This is the highest preseason poll ranking for the Valkyries in the NCAA era. The Valkyries were selected third overall with 190 total points and received a trio of first place in this year's poll. Emmanuel was picked to win the Conference with 215 total points and nine first place votes, while Francis Marion finished just ahead of Converse in second place with 192 total points and three first place votes.
The Converse volleyball team is coming off their best season in program history. Last season, the Valkyries finished the year with a 23-10 overall record and a 13-5 Conference record. Converse stormed through the Conference Tournament to capture their first crown and their first trip to the NCAA Tournament in program history.

Megan Carpenter and
Noemia Chiacchio have all been named Conference Carolinas Players to Watch for the upcoming season. In 2024 Bryant, was named to both the Conference Carolinas All-Tournament team and the All-Conference Third Team. Chiacchio returns for her senior season, after being named to the All-Conference Second team a season ago. Carpenter returns for her senior season after finishing third on the team in kills and blocks last year.
