How It Happened:
The Valkyries and Lions exchanged the first six points of the match before Emmanuel kicked off a six-point run. They scored two more points following a timeout before Converse stopped the streak. After Emmanuel built the lead up to five points, 14-9, Converse fought back to put the set within one point, 14-13. Emmanuel grew the lead back out to three points before Converse once again fought to tie the set at 18 points. After tying the set again at 19 points, Converse secured a two-point lead. The Valkyries were up two at set point before Emmanuel ended the set on a four-point run to secure the second set for the Lions.

The team's worked the score to a tie once again, this time at 19 points. A four-point run for the Valkyries put them within two of securing the set.
