Valkyries Begin 2025-26 Indoor Season in Winston-Salem

Men's Notes:

The defending Conference Carolinas indoor champions enter the 2025-26 campaign voted second in the league's preseason poll. Mount Olive was selected to finish first. The pair were separated by one point in the preseason poll and both received seven first-place votes.
Junior Dorian Bomar was second team all-conference last season in the 60 meter dash and third team all-conference in the 4x400 meter relay.
Senior Devron Davis was third team all-conference in the 200 meters and the 4x400 meter relay last season.
Freshman Neale Johnson has personal bests of 7.70 meters in the long jump, 13.90 meters in the triple jump and a personal-best of 53.41 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles.
- These three Valkyries were selected as the team's athletes to watch.

Women's Notes:

The Converse women's track & field team enters indoor season predicted to finish second in Conference Carolinas. Mount Olive was selected atop the poll with 14 first-place votes. Converse was the other team to receive a first-place vote in the poll.
Junior Jermyra Bethel was a member of the first team all-conference 4x400 meter relay team last season. That quartet earned USTFCCCA all-region honors as well. She earned third team all-conference honors in the 400 meters.
Freshman Grace Davis enters her collegiate career with personal bests of 11.93 in the 100 meter dash, 24.79 in the 200 meter dash, and 56.58 in the 400 meters.
Senior Bella Martin was second team all-conference in the weight throw and won the event in 2024. She was a 2025 USTFCCCA all-region honoree in both the weight throw and shot put and earned the same honor the previous season in the weight throw.
