SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Converse University men's tennis team (7-6, 2-2 Conference Carolinas) heads to the Tar Heel state this weekend for matches with the Barton Bulldogs and Chowan Hawks. The Bulldogs play host to the Valkyries on Friday, April 12, while the Hawks invite Converse to Murfreesboro on Saturday, April 13.
When Barton and Chowan squared off head-to-head earlier this season, Barton took a 7-0 sweep over the Hawks.
Converse Notes:
- Converse enters the match 7-6 overall and 2-2 in Conference Carolinas play after most recently defeating the King Tornado 5-2 in Bristol, Tennessee. The Valkyries have won two of their last three matches.
- Three Valkyries all lead the team in singles wins with eight: sophomore Marty Letessier, junior Leopold Morel, and freshman Manuel Roncero.
- Converse has a winning record on four of six singles courts and two of three doubles courts.
- Roncero is 8-2 over his last 10 singles matches.

- Junior Hannes Tylehed leads the team in singles wins with seven.
