Men’s Tennis Heads to the Capital City For Matchup With Benedict

Converse Notes:

Converse enters the match most recently having beaten Coker by a final score of 4-3. Earlier that same day, they defeated USC Aiken by the same score.
The Valkyries are undefeated at No. 2 singles this season. Freshman Takuma Furumaki has all four wins. Converse holds a .500 record or better at five of the six singles positions.
Converse remains strong at the highest doubles court as well, posting a 3-1 record through four matches. Sophomore Marty Letessier and junior Leopold Morel have played all four matches as a pair at No. 1 doubles.
Three Valkyries have a winning record during singles play while two doubles pairing have such a record.

Benedict Notes:

The Tigers have not competed since Saturday, Feb. 10 when they took a 5-2 decision over Tuskegee in the first SIAC men's tennis roundup. The round-robin tournament accounts for six of the team's seven matches so far.
Senior Mark Chigaazira has competed at No. 1 singles in all seven matches for the Tigers. He boasts a 3-2 record. Junior Divgurjot Singh has done similarly at No. 2 singles with a 5-1 record.
Benedict has only used three doubles pairings this season, Mark Chigaazira has paired with Jason Chigaazira to post an undefeated 7-0 record at the top doubles position.
All six Tigers boast a winning singles record while two of the team's three doubles pairings can say likewise.
