Men’s Soccer Remains In United Soccer Coaches Southeast Region Poll for Sixth Consecutive Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the fifth consecutive time this season, the Converse University men's soccer team (7-1-1, 4-0 Conference Carolinas) earned a ranking in the United Soccer Coaches Southeast Region rankings. The Valkyries checked in at No. 7 in the week six poll.

The Valkyries have been ranked as high as fifth in the poll with those rankings coming in weeks four and five. Week six marks the second time this season Converse has been ranked seventh, the other time coming in the week three poll.

Francis Marion led the trio of Conference Carolinas schools at No. 5 in the week six poll. Young Harris rounded out the trio at No. 8.

The South Atlantic Conference led the way with five teams in the regional poll. At least five SAC teams have been ranked in all six polls this season. Converse, Francis Marion and Young Harris remain the trio representing Conference Carolinas for the fifth consecutive week. The Peach Belt is represented once again by Clayton State and Flagler for the second straight week.

The Valkyries return to the pitch on Wednesday, Oct. 16 as they host Belmont Abbey at Weisiger Stadium for a 7:30 kickoff.
