SPARTANBURG, S.C. – After becoming the first freshman to be named a first team all-conference selection at the conclusion of the 2025 regular season, freshman forward Jacob Bandel has now become the Converse University men's soccer team's first freshman all-region selection as D2CCA released its All-Region selections. He earned second team all-region recognition.

Converse, a program that just completed its fifth season, has had at least one player named to the all-region list for four consecutive seasons.

Bandel, a freshman from Sherrills Ford, North Carolina, led the Valkyries in scoring with 27 points. He was a Conference Carolinas first team all-conference selection. He netted 11 goals and five assists, putting him first in single-season points and goals in program history. Bandel had two multi-goal games and became just the second Valkyrie to score 10 or more goals in a season. The Sherrills-Ford native ranks second in Conference Carolinas in goals scored and fourth in total points.
