GREENVILLE, S.C. – After earning the third seed in the Conference Carolinas Championship, the Converse University men's soccer team earned five All-Conference selections, as announced by the league office on Friday morning. The Valkyries' honors were split between three first-team selections, one second-team selection and one third-team selection.

Sophomore forward Jacob Bandel, junior midfielder Amro Shibeika and sophomore defender Owen Nero all earned first-team honors. Graduate forward Iker Revuelta earned second-team honors and freshman goalkeeper Thiago Ausland earned third-team honors.

The Valkyries' five selections are tied for the second-most in a single season in program history, trailing only the 2022 Championship team, which had 10 selections. Converse also had five all-conference selections in 2024 and 2025.

He scored a team-high six goals in conference action, good for a tie for fifth in the stat among all conference players. He also assisted on three goals this season. Bandel started all 13 conference games for the Valkyries this season and joined former Valkyrie Gabriel Verona ('25) as the only players in program history to earn multiple first-team selections.

Revuelta, a forward from Noja, Cantabria, Spain, appeared in 12 conference games this season, making four starts. He scored all five of his goals this season during the 517 minutes he logged during conference play.

Ausland, a goalkeeper from Pasadena, California, started all 13 of the team's conference games this season. He allowed just 12 goals while recording 39 saves, a goals-allowed average of 0.94, the fourth-best mark in the conference. He posted an 8-1-4 record and recorded three solo shutouts and one combined shutout.
