Schierholz and Smith Named Academic All-District Selections

GREENWOOD, Ind. – With the 2025 soccer season in the books, two members of the Converse University men's soccer team were honored as CSC Academic All-District selections for their accomplishments both in the classroom and on the pitch: juniors Jesper Schierholz and Kade Smith.

Both honorees are business administration majors. Schierholz will move on to the Academic All-America round set to be announced on Dec. 16.

Schierholz, a junior from Walsrode, Germany, led the Valkyries in assists with nine, mainly earned through being the main corner-kick taker for the Valkyries in 2025. His total of nine assists was second in the conference only to Offensive Player of the Year Thomas Kleinpenning of Young Harris. Schierholz started all 17 games for the Valkyries, logging 1,298 minutes on the pitch. He was named a second team all-conference selection.

Smith, a junior from London, United Kingdom, appeared in all 17 games this season and made three starts, accounting for 11 points, the fourth-highest total on the team. He netted four goals and assisted on three, also both the fourth-highest totals. Smith did so in just 659 minutes on the pitch.
