SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Converse University men's tennis team will play a pair of opponents this weekend in Mars Hill and Limestone University.
On Saturday afternoon, the Valkyries will welcome Mars Hill to the Converse University tennis courts and Sunday afternoon, they will make the short trip over to Limestone.
This is the second time the Valkyries and the Lions will be meeting up this season, back in the fall Converse eked out a 4-3 win at Mars Hill. Despite losing the doubles point in the match, the Valkyries rallied with four straight single court wins at the No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 6 courts to defeat the Lions for the first time in program history.
This will be the third all-time meeting between Converse and Limestone dating back to last season. Neither team has held serve on their home court as the away team has come away with the win in the two prior meetings. The Valkyries win over the Saints in the Fall of 2021 was the Valkyries first win in program history.
