SPARTANBURG, S.C.- Converse dropped a non-conference match against #19 North Georgia on Sunday evening, 3-0.  Converse falls to 0-2-0 on the young season.

The Valkyries conceded all three goals in the first half, while posting a shutout in the second half.  Converse was outshot 25-6.  Halley Wisner (Rising Sun, Md.), Ella Ritchie (Derby, England), Natalie Johnson (Leicester, England), Josie Davis (Palm Coast, Fla.), Georgia Jones (Solihull, England), and Claudia Coffin (Springboro, Ohio) registered the shots for the Valkyries.

Victoria Bailey (Fredericksburg, Va.) faced 10 shots picking up three saves and did not allow a goal in 45 minutes of action.

Converse went on the attack the first five minutes of the match getting a shot off at the 3:55 mark.  Coffin would shoot from outside the box and missing the post to the right. Less than a minute later, Johnson puts one on frame but saved by UNG keeper.

The Valkyries will wrap up their homestand on Wednesday, September 9 against Mars Hill.  Kick-off is slated for 6pm.
