Box Score SPARTANBURG, S.C.- Converse Volleyball battled against Division I Wofford at home on Monday night, but fell 3-1 (16-25, 25-22, 18-25, 9-25). Converse drops to 5-7 on the season, while Wofford improves to 7-8 on the season.
The Valkyrie hitters combined for a .016 hitting percentage commiting 20 errors while tallying 22 kills. Freshman Kirsten McCraw (Duncan, S.C.) led the way offensively with seven kills. Scottie Kay Auton (Gaffney, S.C.) and Katie Butler (Savannah, Ga.) picked up six kills apiece.
Converse was led defensively by senior libero Aubrey Crosby (Spartanburg, S.C.) racking up 16 digs on the night. Krislyn Moore (Spartanburg, S.C.) missed a double-double finishing the night with 12 assists and nine digs.
Wofford had three players in double-digit kills as Taylor Baird led the Terriers with 17 kills. Ellie Tallman had 16 kills and Alex Holland contributed 11.
Converse returns to the court on Wednesday as they take on Claflin on the road. Converse dropped the first meeting between the two teams earlier in the season 3-2. First serve is set for 7 pm.
