Men’s Soccer Prepares for Nonconference Matchup with Bob Jones

Converse Notes:
  • The Valkyries enter Tuesday's contest after Saturday's game with Young Harris was suspended early in the second half. Converse held a 2-1 lead at the point of suspension, and the teams are looking for a makeup date.
  • Converse's most recently completed game was a 2-0 road loss to Emmanuel University on Sept. 16.
  • Sophomore forward Jacob Bandel and Levi Bankirer both lead the Valkyries in scoring with five points. Both strikers have netted two goals and assisted on one.
  • Freshman goalkeeper Thiago Ausland has started all seven of the Valkyries games this season. He has a goals-allowed average of 1.18 and a save percentage of 0.682.
  • Eight different Valkyries have scored at least one goal this season.
Bob Jones Notes:
  • The Bruins enter Tuesday's game 3-3-1 on the season, most recently winning a road contest against Trinity College of Jacksonville 4-0 on Saturday, Sept. 19.
  • Bob Jones has played just one Division II opponent thus far this season, Newberry College on Tuesday, Sept. 15. The Wolves defeated the Bruins 5-3.
  • Sophomore midfielder Bucky Provenzano and sophomore forward Jackson Reinhard lead the Bruins offensively with 12 points each. They have both scored five goals and assisted on two.
  • Senior goalkeeper Luke Provenzano has played and started six of the team's seven games in goal and has a goals-allowed average of 1.82 and a save percentage of 0.640.
