GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Conference Carolinas office announced the 2026-27 men's swimming & diving preseason coaches' poll on Thursday morning, Converse University was picked to finish sixth overall.
Converse finished with 46 points in the preseason poll and finished ahead of King, Mars Hill, Barton and Chowan. Wingate won the poll with 86 total points and nine first place votes, followed by Catawba in second place and Carson-Newman in third place. Lenoir-Rhyne and Emmanuel rounded out the top-five of the poll.
The Conference Carolinas Swimmer of the Year
Henry Stockton (Colorado Springs, Colo.) was named as a preseason player to watch. Last season, Stockton won five Conference Carolinas Championships and finished third in one other event.
Joey Lilley (Greer, S.C.) was also named a player to watch by the conference office. Lilley was a part of three conference championships last season. The junior also finished third in two other events last season.
Jay Owens (Central, S.C.) was named a player to watch by the conference office this season. Owens helped a relay team to the Conference Carolinas event championship a season ago. Owens was also named a Freshman of the Month last season.
