SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Converse University swim teams will race in front of their home crowd tomorrow morning inside the Montgomery Student Center when they face-off against King at 11:00 a.m.
The Valkyries have already competed twice this season, opening up the year with a trip to Gardner-Webb and then an intersquad meet last Friday. Last season, the men's swim team swept King, while the women's team split the season series with the Tornado.
So far this season,
Joey Lilley,
Tyler Leal and
Mason Reed have been the top point earners for the Valkyries. On the women's side,
Blair Endicott,
Georgia Madigan and
Alexandra Zamecki have been the top point earners for the Valkyries through one meet.
For King this will be just their second meet of the season. The men's team defeated Mars Hill 128- 67 on October 3
rd, while the women's team defeated Mars Hill by a final score of 131-72.
On the men's side the Tornado top swimmers are Cristobal Amiel, Fabio Ricci and Carlos Arias Mendoza. On the women's side the top swimmers for King are Emma Bendall, Mariandree Valdes and Madzia Stanek.
