SNOW HILL N.C. – The Converse University golf team finished sixth overall at the Conference Carolinas Women's Golf Championship on Tuesday afternoon.
 
The Valkyries shot rounds of 319, 325, and 321 to finish with a three day total of 965. As a team the Valkyries averaged a 3.57 on Par 3 holes, a 4.52 average on Par 4 holes, and a 5.60 average on Par 5 holes. Converse finished with 127 total pars, 13 birdies, and was one of two schools to record an eagle in the event.
 
Sophomore Ellie Lim (Delaware, Ohio) was named to the all-tournament team after she finished tied for seventh. Lim recorded rounds of 76, 78, and 76 for a three day total of 230. The sophomore led the team in Par 3 scoring (3.00), Par 4 scoring (4.33), Par 5 scoring (5.33), total pars (33), and total birdies (5).
 
Senior Lizzie Madden (Blythewood, S.C.) had a top-25 finish this week at the Conference Carolinas Championships. The senior carded rounds of 80, 82, and 79 to finish with a 72-hole total of 241. Madden finished second on the team in Par 3 scoring (3.33), Par 5 scoring (5.50), total Pars (29), and third on the team in Par 4 scoring (4.50).
 
Brooke Haazer (Burlington, Ontario, Canada) finished third on the team and 39^th overall in the event with a three day total score of 248. Elle Webber (Huntsville, Ala.) placed 45^th overall with a score of 252 and Kali Lantis (Spearfish, S.D.) finished 46^th overall with a score of 257. Haazer finished second on the team in Par 4 scoring (4.40), total birdies (3), and third on the team in total pars with 26. Webber was one of two players that recorded an eagle in this week's tournament.
