GAFFNEY, S.C. – The Converse University acrobatics and tumbling fell 258.375 – 246.190 to #10 Limestone on Saturday afternoon inside the Timkin Center.
Event 1 – Compulsory
In the Compulsory event, Converse posted scores of 8.35 (Acro Heat), 9.60 (Pyramid Heat), 9.15 (Toss Heat), and 6.80 (Tumbling Heat). The Saints edged out the Valkyries just barley in the opening event winning 36.20-33.90 over the Valkyries.
Event 2 – Acro
In the Acro event, Converse posted scores of 8.75 (5 Element), 8.15 (6 Element), and 8.60 (7 Element). The Valkyries barley lost the acro event to the Saints, falling by a final score of 26.25-25.50.
Event 3 – Pyramid
In the Pyramid event, Converse posted scores of 9.80 (Inversion), 9.30 (Synchronized), and 9.90 (Open). The Valkyries won the Inversion Pyramid heat by a final score of 9.80 – 9.45 over Limestone, and they also won the open pyramid heat by a final score of 9.90 – 9.80. The Valkyries won the event by a final score of 29.00 – 28.95.
Event 4 – Toss
In the Toss event, Converse posted scores of 8.20 (450 Salto), 8.50 (Synchronized), and 9.15 (Open). The Valkyries won the open toss heat by a final score of 9.15 – 8.65, Converse lost the event by a slim margin to Limestone 26.85 – 25.85.
Event 5 – Tumbling
Converse recorded scores of 6.900 (Duo Pass), 8.100 (Trio Pass), 7.100 (Quad Pass), 8.875 (Aerial Pass), 8.200 (6 Element Pass), 8.675 (Open Pass). The Valkyries lost the tumbling event by a final score of 53.425 – 47.850.
Event 6 – Team
With a start value of 100.75, Limestone scored a 86.70 to end the meet with an overall score of 258.375 on the day. Converse started their team event with a 97.64 start value and scored 84.09 points to end the meet with an overall score of 246.190.

Converse will be back at home this week as they host Wingate on Thursday evening. The meet is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m.
