Converse Field Hockey Adds to Coaching Staff

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Converse University Athletic Department announced the hiring of Olivia Nevin as the new assistant field hockey coach.

"I am beyond honored to welcome Olivia back to the FHAMILY, and this time as a coach!" head coach Valerie Clarke went on to say, "Olivia was an integral part of helping build our program into an nationally-recognized contender, and as a team captain she is a natural leader and a stabilizing force when players are under pressure. I am excited to have her first hand experience of our program and Converse be a true asset to our student-athletes as they navigate through their own journeys here. I am so lucky to have an alum return to help continue to build this program."

"I am honored to return to such an amazing campus and community," Nevin said. "The fhamily is what brings you back. The people in this program are amazing people first and that's what matters the most. I loved my time here at Converse and I hope to help others enjoy their time here as well! Helping build this program from the start had allowed me to understand the ins and outs, creating a fantastic opportunity for me to return and help grow the program even more. Beyond excited to see where Coach Val and I this program! As always, Go Vals!"
