The Series
This will be the 15th all-time meeting between Converse and Belmont Abbey dating back to the 2017 field hockey season. The all-time series is currently deadlocked at 7-7 between the two squads, however, Converse is on two match winning streak against the Crusaders.    
 
Converse Notes
  • Converse is 7-4 overall on the season and 4-3 in South Atlantic Conference action. The Valkyries are coming off a 2-1 loss to Lander on Tuesday evening.   
  • As a team the Valkyries are averaging 3.73 goals per game, 16.8 shots per game, 10.7 shots on goal per game, 3.0 assists per game, 7.8 corners per game and 4.3 saves per game.
  • Figueroa leads the team with 30 points on the season, Kilee Bradeen is second on the team with 17 points and Edith Swaan is third on the team with 13 points. 
  • Figueroa leads the team with 12 goals on the year, while Bradeen and Swaan are both second on the team with five goals each.    
  • Bradeen leads the team with seven assists and Figueroa is second on the team with six assists on the year.  
  • Alina Puentes has started six games in goal for the Valkyries this season. The junior has recorded 47 saves and posted a .746 save percentage.
 
Belmont Abbey Notes
  • Belmont Abbey is 8-4 overall and 7-2 in South Atlantic Conference play. The Crusaders are 5-1 at home this season and they have won their last three games.
  • Most recently, Belmont Abbey is coming off a 4-0 win over Coker on Saturday afternoon. Isabel Stankiewicz, Katie Cole, Avery Bourke and Jillian Cain all had goals in the Crusaders win.
  • Belmont Abbey is averaging 2.67 goals per game, 14.0 shots per game, 8.75 shots on goal per game, 1.75 assists per game, 7.6 corners per game and 4.3 saves per game.
  • Sarah Schumacher leads the team with 13 points on the season, Hailey Leatherman is second on the team with 11 points and Nicki Jonkers is third on the team with 10 points.
  • Schumacher leads the team with six goals on the year, while both Leatherman and Jonkers are tied for second on the team with five goals on the season. Chloe Kiser leads the team with seven assists on the season and three other players are currently tied with two assists each.
  • Lily Willard has started 10 games in goal for the Crusaders, making 46 saves and posting a .719 save percentage against opponents.
