GREENWOOD, Ind. – Following a year that saw the team win their first Conference Carolinas tournament game since 2015, four Valkyries were honored for the combination of their hard work in the classroom and on the pitch. They are: sophomore Ava Forrester, sophomore Hannah Liebig, junior Skylar Lund and junior Savannah Mellon.

Forrester, a psychology major from Albuquerque, New Mexico played and started in 17 games this season. As a defender, she assisted on one goal and tallied 1,307 minutes on the pitch.

Liebig, an interior design major from Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, played and appeared in all 19 games this season. She was the team's second-leading scorer with 13 points coming from six goals and an assist.

Lund, a biology major from Parkland, Florida, appeared in all 19 games and started in the team's Oct. 24 victory over King. She tallied one goal and three assists for five points.

Mellon, a biology major from York, South Carolina, appeared and started in all 19 games. She logged 1,663 minutes on the pitch and helped lead the team to a program-record eight shutouts this season.
