Converse Notes:

The Valkyries enter the contest after being ranked fifth in the southeast region by the United Soccer Coaches.
Converse is fresh off of a 3-1 victory over Mars Hill on Wednesday night. Mars Hill was ranked seventh in the same United Soccer Coaches southeast regional poll.
Senior forward Joan Bauza Sureda, sophomore forward Guilherme Fontes and junior midfielder Nicholas Gartung have each recorded a goal this season. The Valkyries' fourth goal was credited as an own goal against Mars Hill.
Junior goalkeeper Tim Baerwalde has allowed one goal in two complete games for a goals allowed average of 0.50.
The Converse defense has shut down opponents offensively and has only allowed three shots on goal so far this season.

Barton Notes:

The Bulldogs enter Saturday's match with a 0-2-1 record. After opening up with a nonconference matchup against Southern Wesleyan, Barton has dropped two straight to South Atlantic Conference Schools. Tusculum and Limestone combined to beat the Bulldogs 5-0.
Barton was tied for seventh in the Conference Carolinas preseason coaches poll.
The Bulldogs are still seeking their first goal this season.
Barton's keeper Steingrimur Gunnarsson has been in the box for every minute of all three games. He has nine saves and a save percentage of 0.643.
