Converse Notes:
  • The Valkyries enter Saturday's contest after securing a 2-0 victory over Lees-McRae on Tuesday, Oct. 24. Both goals came inside of 10 minutes to play.
  • Converse secured the first-ever Conference Carolinas Northwest division title by defeating the Bobcats. 
  • Freshman goalkeeper Mateo Sanchez played all 90 minutes in Tuesday's game. He recorded one save on only one shot on goal from the Bobcats and posted his second career clean sheet.
  • Junior defender Gabriel Verona and sophomore forward Guilherme Fontes lead the team in scoring with 11 points. Verona has recorded five goals and an assist while Fontes has posted three goals and five assists.

  • Southern Wesleyan is ranked 12th out of 13 teams in the Conference KPI standings. They are one spot behind the conference's other winless team, King.

  • Junior goalkeeper Marco Iniguez has appeared and started in 17 matches for the Warriors. He has allowed 43 goals and has a goals allowed average of 2.59.
