Women's Soccer Looks to Keep Win Streak Rolling Against Young Harris

Converse Notes:
  • The Valkyries enter the match after two regionally ranked victories last week: a Wednesday, Sept. 27 road victory over No. 8 Lander 3-2 and 1-0 home victory over No. 9 Francision Marion on Saturday, Sept. 30.
  • Converse ranked fifth in the first Conference Carolinas KPI rankings of the season release on Monday, Oct. 2. This is the metric Conference Carolinas will use for seeding for the postseason tournament. Two of the team's three losses are against teams above them in the KPI rankings. They also have a victory over top-ranked Francis Marion and a draw with No. 3 Belmont Abbey.
  • Freshman goalkeeper Allie Nepomuceno is tied for the fourth best goals allowed average in the conference with 1.429.

Young Harris Notes:
  • The Mountain Lions enter Tuesday night's contest on a two-game losing streak after dropping a home matchup to North Greenville and a road matchup to Lees-McRae. They have won three of their last five games, all matchups in Conference Carolinas. This includes a two-game stint against Erskine and Southern Wesleyan that saw the Mountain Lions win by a combined score of 12-1.
  • Young Harris is currently tied for first in the southwest division of Conference Carolinas. They were tabbed ninth in the Conference Carolinas preseason poll and currently sit at tenth in the KPI rankings.
  • Sophomore midfielder Alexis Scarpinato leads the team in scoring with 18 points. She has scored eight goals and two assists. She is currently tied for the fourth-most goals in Conference Carolinas.
  • Young Harris scores an average of 2.40 goals per game while giving up just 1.50 goals per game. They also take just over four more shots than their opponents per game.
