The Series
This will be the third time that Converse and North Greenville have gone up against each other. The Crusaders hold a 2-0 advantage over the Valkyries after winning the last two meetings by scores of 2-1 each time.
Converse Notes:
- Converse is 6-1-1 overall and undefeated in Conference Carolinas play after picking up a 3-2 win over Belmont Abbey on Saturday night. The win pushed the Valkyries to the top of the conference standings with nine points and the only undefeated team left in the Conference Carolinas.
- In the win, Sergi Quixal led the team with five shots, four shots on goal and two goals. Quixal is currently sitting in first place in the NCAA D2 rankings with six assists on the year.
- Overall, Quixal leads the Valkyries with three goals, six assists, 12 points, 13 shots and eight shots on goal. Jaxon Keene follows with three goals, three assists, nine points, 13 shots and seven shots on goal.
- David Windmiller is the teams' leading keeper with 20 saves on the year and a .800 save percentage.
North Greenville Notes:
- North Greenville is 4-3-2 overall and 2-1-2 in Conference Carolinas action after dropping a contest 3-1 to Francis Marion on Saturday night.
- In the loss, Paul Mues led the team with one shot, one shot on goal and one goal. Renan Macuglia assisted the goal, and goalkeeper Michel Weber ended the night with five saves.
- Overall, Macuglia leads the Crusaders with five goals, three assists, 13 points, 17 shots and nine shots on goal. Carlos Navarro follows with three goals, two assists, eight points, 25 shots and 10 shots on goal.
- In the net, Weber leads with 29 saves and a .690 save percentage.
