BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The Converse University field hockey team continues to hold a spot on the Penn Monto/NFHCA Coaches Poll after the first two weekends of action.
The Valkyries have opened up the season with four consecutive wins and a pair of South Atlantic Conference victories. Converse has already reset numerous school records both on the offensive and defensive side of the ball.
Sophomore forward
Lotte Kanters (Loosdrecht, Netherlands) currently leads the nation in goals per game (2.25) and points per game (4.75). Fellow sophomore
Luisa Fasold (Wolfenbuttel, Germany) is currently second in the nation in assists per game (1.25). As a team the Valkyries rank inside the top-three nationally in assists per game (4.25), goals against average (0.50), goals per game (5.50), points per game (15.25), scoring average (5.50), scoring margin (5.00) and winning percentage (1.000).
