Converse Notes:
  • Converse lost their first game of the 2022 season on Thursday night by a score of 1-0 against Caldwell University.
  • Sophomore goalkeeper Daelynn Perry ended the night with seven saves while Brooklyn Galler, Jasmine Hernandez and Shelby McCutchen each got a shot off.
  • Isabella Boccia played almost 90 minutes in the Valkyries home opener, proving to be a strong defensive threat in the back of the field while freshman midfielder Skylar Lund played 78 minutes in her first collegiate game.
  • Conference Carolinas Preseason Players to Watch, Ellie Gore, Serena-Skye White and Kajsa Mertens will be key players in this second game of the year against Glenville St.
Glenville State Notes:
  • This will be the first game of the 2022 season for Glenville State.
  • The Pioneers finished 4-14 overall last season and 3-13 in the Mountain East Conference.
  • The team averaged 0.56 goals per game last season with 46 of their 91 shots being on target.
  • Glenville St. will have two goalie options this year. Junior Kiersten Knicley-King has made four total appearances during her time as a Pioneer while sophomore transfer from Kansas City Community College Leah Williams posted two shutouts in the 2021 season and made 92 saves for Kansas City.
