SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Converse University men's and women's track and field programs will head to Winston-Salem, N.C. to compete at the Conference Carolinas indoor championships.
Teams Participating: Barton, Belmont Abbey, Converse, Emmanuel, Erskine, King, Lees-McRae, Mount Olive, North Greenville, Southern Wesleyan, UNC Pembroke.
Converse Notes:
- This will be the third time that both the men's and women's teams have competed at JDL for indoor meets.
- The women's team will be competing in the 60-meter dash, 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash, 800-meter event, 1-mile run, 3000-meter event, 5000-meter event, 60-meter hurdles, 4x400 meter relay, high jump, long jump, triple jump and weighted throw.
- Athletes to watch on the women's side are Daeja Belton, Ashley Sosa, Quiana Suber, Bayley Robinson and Eseose Okoduwa.
- The men's team will be competing in the 60-meter dash, 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash, 800-meter event, 1-mile run, 3000-meter event, 5000-meter event, 60-meter hurdles and the 4x400 meter relay.
- Athletes to watch on the men's side are Gavin McFadden, DreQuan Guyton, Luis Rios Brena and Gerrard Donald.
