This will be just the third time that Converse and Francis Marion have gone up against each other. The Patriots defeated the Valkyries in the first ever matchup, but in the game earlier this season, the two teams ended the game in a 3-3 tie.
Converse Notes:
- Converse is 12-1-4 overall and 8-0-3 in Conference Carolinas play after picking up a 4-0 win over Emmanuel in the semifinal round of the Conference Carolinas Championship.
- In the win, Jaxon Keene led the Valkyries with three shots, three shots on goal, one goal and one assist. Tobias Bruecher had a goal and an assist, Ricky Cardozo had two assists and Felix Frenz and Johannes Haden each had a goal of their own.
- Goalkeeper David Windmiller had a standout night, making seven saves to help Converse advance to the finals.
- Overall, Hayden Gensler, Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Year and First Team-All Conference selection, leads the Valkyries with 10 goals, two assists, 22 points and 33 shots on the year. Fellow First Team-All Conference member Sergi Quixal follows with five goals, six assists, 16 points and 26 shots.
- Windmiller is the team's leading keeper with 49 saves on the season with a .76 save percentage and a .89 goals against average.
Francis Marion Notes:
- Francis Marion is 8-5-5 overall and 6-2-3 in Conference Carolinas action after picking up a 2-0 win over North Greenville in the semifinal conference game.
- In the win, Alvaro Zamora and Matias Morales each scored a goal while Andrea Scapolo made three saves in net for the Patriots.
- Overall, Javier Bello leads Francis Marion with nine goals, four assists, 22 points and 31 shots on the season. Zamora follows with seven goals, four assists, 18 points and 34 shots.
- Scapolo has 46 saves to his name with a .719 save percentage and a 1.00 goals against average.
- Bello and Zamora were named to the First Team All-Conference list, Sebastian Garcia was a Second Team All-Conference selection and Kimo Lemke was a Third Team All-Conference selection for Francis Marion.
