SPARTANBURG, S.C. – It's championship season for the Converse Cross Country programs as they race in the Conference Carolinas Cross Country Championships on Saturday morning.
Location: Milliken Research Center
Times: 9:00 a.m. (Women's 6k), 10:00 a.m. (Men's 8k)
Teams Competing: Barton, Belmont Abbey, Chowan, Converse, Emmanuel, Erskine, Francis Marion, King, Lees-McRae, Mount Olive, North Greenville, Southern Wesleyan, UNC Pembroke.

Women's Notes:
- This will be the sixth race of the season for the women. This will be their second 6k race of the year for them and their third time running at Milliken Research Center.
- Lauren Beatty finished first for the Valkyries at the D2 Festival Year Showcase with a time of 19:00.30 in the 5k race.
- Ruth Spijker, Ashley Sosa, Bayley Robinson and Chloe Chandler each set new personal records at the showcase.
- In the team's previous 6k race dating back to Sept. 17, Beatty, Kamille Dixon and Spijker were the top three finishers for the Valkyries.
- Most recently, Beatty was named as Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Month for the second time this season.
- The Converse women are sitting at No. 8 in the USTFCCCA Southeast Region ranking.
Men's Notes:
- This is also the sixth race of the season for the men and their third time racing at Milliken Research Center.
- At the D2 Festival Year Showcase, Luis Rios Brena broke the school record in the 8k race with a time of 25:47.60. Zackery Carver, Jaxon Wright, Sam Bagwell and Spenser Kirby each set new PRs at the race.
- As a team, the men set a new program record time of 27:02 at the showcase.
