The Series
Converse University and Lees-McRae will be meeting for the first time in program history on Tuesday evening at McCracken Field.  
 
Converse Notes:
  • The Valkyries are 2-2-1 this season and 0-1-0 in Conference Carolinas play.
  • Converse is coming off a heartbreaking 2-1 overtime loss to Chowan on Saturday afternoon.
  • Tim Boeckstanes scored in the 82nd minute of an assist by Sinan Kilincarslan. David Windmiller stayed busy in the goal and made four saves on the afternoon.
  • The Valkyries are averaging 2.80 goals per game and 17.8 shots per contest.
  • Hayden Gensler has been a spark coming off the bench all season and he leads the team in goals scored (4) and points (8).
  • Boeckstanes has played comfortably at home all season and has scored all three of his goals at McCracken field.
  • David Windmiller has played every minute in goal for the Valkyries this season and has recorded 19 saves on 65 shots faced.
 
Lees-McRae Notes:
  • Lees-McRae is 2-1-1 on the season and has not played a Conference Carolinas match yet.
  • The Bobcats have played their last three games at home and have gone 2-1 over that span. Lees-McRae is currently riding a two-game winning streak with back-to-back shutout wins over Shaw and Johnson & Wales.
  • Last time out Johannes Oeksnevad led the offensive attack with a pair of goals, while Tamino Brown, Zach Aversano and Harrison Watts each scored in the contest.
  • The Bobcats played three different goalkeepers but Joshua Garvilla led the way with 62 minutes played and four saves in the game.
  • Lees-McRae is averaging 3.25 goals per game, 19.0 shots per game and has a .500 shots on goal percentage.
  • Oeksnevad leads the way with four goals this season and he leads the team in points (10), total shots (12) and shots on goal (7).
  • Garvilla has seen the most work out of all three goalies and has made a trio of starts this season. Garvilla has recorded 15 saves on 46 shots faced.
